Our team is based throughout Australia with trainers in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Mackay. We have been working together for many years and are a dedicated team of Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) Trainers who are members of the KRI Aquarian Academy.
Our Australian team offer Kundalini Yoga Training in Level One, Level Two, 21 Stages of Meditation and Yoga Therapy.
GuruJivan Kaur is a Lead Teacher Trainer of Kundalini Yoga in Australia. She studied directly under Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga, and has been teaching for the past 45 years. GuruJivan is humbled by the opportunity to share this technology with so many people from around the world, leading workshops, retreats and Teacher Training. GuruJivan respects each person’s individuality and encourages students to pursue their own goals during practice while maintaining the highest level in teaching and the practice of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®. GuruJivan will be overseeing the training and teaching on occasions.
Balwant Kaur has been teaching Kundalini Yoga for over a decade. She comes from a corporate background, having worked in the IT industry for approximately 20 years. She believes that we have lost our connection with ourselves and our environment. Kundalini Yoga has helped her to go within, learning to balance life. Balwant is a Lead Trainer and works on teacher training teams throughout Australia. According to Balwant it doesn’t matter what you look like, what size you are or how flexible you are, everyone can benefit from Kundalini yoga. It is the yoga for the regular person who has a job, has a family and has commitments. It is a technology that we can use for living a harmonious, healthy and happy life.
Siri Bhagvati Kaur started practicing yoga because she was searching for a practice that integrated the theories, concepts and knowledge of her health science studies into a direct experience. She started teaching yoga in 2003 and is a Professional Kundalini Teacher Trainer. She is a member of the Yoga Therapy faculty team with Dr Shanti Shanti Kaur and the Guru Ram Das Center for Humanology & Medicine and is a specialist trainer for Kundalini Yoga & Trauma (PTSD). Her training in kundalini yoga, yoga therapy and in natural health and healing has given her the tools to meet people where they’re at and be able to help guide or simply create the space and awareness needed, to embark on the journey of discovering who they are.
Seva Simran Kaur is a Professional Teacher Trainer on the team. Her first introduction to Kundalini Yoga was in London in 1991 and she began teaching in Perth in 1998. From her first class she knew that she had found a profound yogic spiritual practice, one that brings transformation, awareness, insight and intuition. Seva Simran also works as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner.
Didar Kaur is a Professional Teacher Trainer on the team. She is the caretaker of Kundalini Books and the Mackay Healing Centre in Queensland. Didar has been teaching for over a decade and is also a Yoga Therapist. Didar started her yoga journey over three decades ago. She is passionate about assisting you achieve the best from your life and improving your wellness and has devoted the majority of my life doing so.
Balwant Singh has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since 2012. After a career in IT he discovered Kundalini Yoga at White Tantric Yoga in 2010 and realised the benefits of this ancient technology. In 2014 he became a full time Kundalini Yoga teacher. Balwant Singh has a love for the gong and sound healing. He has continued his Gong studies with Don Conreaux and Methab Benton. Balwant feels privileged to be able to devote himself to bringing Kundalini Yoga to the community.
Vikrampreet/Nancy is a devoted practitioner of yoga who teaches because her own practice ignited a deep desire to inspire growth, self-knowing and personal responsibility in others. She believes yoga is a tool to bring us home to ourselves. A teacher of Kundalini Yoga and Hatha Yoga, and a crystal singing bowl sound healer. Vikrampreet teaches Asana (posture) at our Melbourne Training.
Sirgun Kaur started practising Kundalini Yoga as a tool to support herself during the deployment of her husband to Afghanistan. She has been teaching yoga for over 10 years having trained and studied in Kundalini, Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga as well as in Pilates and is a Conscious Pregnancy Teacher. Sirgun spent 8 years serving in the British Army before marrying her husband and becoming a mother to her 4 beautiful children. Her main areas of interest include trauma particularly PTSD and Women’s Teachings. She is a trained Holistic Counsellor, Massage therapist and Reiki healer. She uses her tools and her life experience to support people in living a life of truth, love and health.
Sat Ravi Kaur came to Kundalini Yoga seeking something to heal the physical body from illness. The kriyas and meditations quickly improved her health and boosted her vitality. Sat Ravi is a school teacher and is inspired by the teachings of kundalini yoga which influence her conversations with young people as she guides them in a very challenging world.
Dhyan Simran Kaur comes from an ex-military background, having always possessed a deep love of movement and sound. Kundalini Yoga found Dhyan Simran and it was an instant union from the beginning. After completing her teacher training, her love and affinity with the Gong then took her to Hong Kong to further her studies with Methab Benton. Dhyan Simran feels truly blessed to share these transformative teachings, and to continue her studies with KRI for this lifetime.
Jiwan Shakti Kaur became a teacher in 2012. Her aim is to bring more awareness, irrelevant of gender, age, shape or ability, so that Kundalini Yoga can serve the practitioner to wellness, transformation and elevation. She is grateful to have the time and the opportunity to devote herself to teaching full time and serving the Kundalini Yoga community.
